Public Transport Serving Wilpshire
Rail
Rail services can be accessed at our local station, Ramsgreave & Wilpshire, on Ramsgreave Road behind the Co-op. There is an hourly service every day with additional services at peak times on weekdays. Trains link directly to Blackburn, Bolton, Manchester Victoria, Clitheroe and stations between. Connections can be made at Blackburn to Preston, stations to Colne and to Leeds, York, Todmorden and Rochdale.
On Sundays between mid-May and early September the DalesRail train calls at Ramsgreave & Wilpshire before heading to Carlisle via Hellifield and stations in the Yorkshire Dales with a programme of free guided walks.

Buses
A half hourly bus service No 22, provided by Blackburn Bus Company, links Wilpshire with Clitheroe via Whalley and Blackburn Royal Hospital via Blackburn Bus Station on weekdays. A less frequent service operates on Sundays.
Service No 45, provided by Preston Bus, runs hourly Mon – Sat and two hourly on Sundays to Preston via Longridge. This service is routed via Knowsley Road and Ribchester Road.
A more direct bus to Preston, service No 280, provided by Stagecoach, runs along Longsight Road calling at Copster Green. It runs at hourly intervals Mon – Sat and two hourly on Sundays. Details of these services can be found at:
